Empire, by Felix Klein is a story set in a 200 year war between kingdoms that fight for control. It follows Grimm, a young mercenary who has been exiled from his home and now wanders as a nomad, in a camp of degenerates and scoundrels. 

He fights for his ideals and his will, against forces no man has faced before and lived to speak again. He faces an unknown rival in his fight to seize his dreams and stop the war.
