EMPIRE
Empire, by Felix Klein is a story set in a 200 year war between kingdoms that fight for control. It follows Grimm, a young warrior, who has been exiled from his home and now wanders as a nomad, in a camp of degenerates and scoundrels.
He fights for his ideals and his will, against forces no man has faced before and lived to speak again. He faces an unknown rival in his fight to seize his dreams and stop the war. While he fights for his survival, he also fights to protect his ideals and his friends.
He fights to reach the peak.
Inspired by the world of Berserk, I decided to create a fantasy world of my own design. I was inspired by the references to the real world that Miura introduced into his manga. I wanted to focus on the gritty character and world design, the intense narrative with biblical and satanic imagery and the unfolding mysteries of my world. I also want to use this comic to speak on topics such as war, famine, class divide, the church and many other issues present throughout history.
Overall though, I would rather let my work speak for me.
THE WORLD
